It is important to ensure that the change is necessary and desirable, and to recognize that change is the norm, not the exception. One of the most difficult aspects of organizational change is that it often comes in phases or involves a certain level of confidentiality on the part of the management team or certain individuals. However, when the change is significant, it is beneficial to be as transparent as possible with employees.
Even if all the details cannot be shared, being honest about what can be shared and clearly explaining its impact will go a long way in making staff feel more comfortable.
